Editorialists from the city's biggest newspapers were thrilled at the approval of the new Nets arena and Atlantic Yards project, extolling its value to Brooklyn, the city and the Nets. Not so thrilled: the Brooklyn Papers, a string of local weeklies that has long opposed the $4.2 billion project. Also of note, columns by the Daily News' Errol Louis who has long excoriated critics and New York's Chris Smith who slammed the New York Times coverage. Both live near Atlantic Yards.
