Chris Sheridan of ESPN looked at long term issues Wednesday and yes, he thinks that Vince Carter will not exercise his player option this June. But he counsels that doesn't mean he is going anywhere. Like others, Sheridan notes only two teams--the Nets and Bobcats--have the money needed to make that option worthwhile for Carter. Based on Carter's production so far this season, whatever he gets looks like it will be worth it.
