Marcus Williams was in the top five of summer league rookies and was THE top rookie in preseason, according to NBA.com rankings. Now, backing up Jason Kidd, the Nets' 20-year-old rookie has slipped to the eighth spot, mainly due to his shooting woes. Still, he retains the great court vision and has surprised with his rebounding. Meanwhile, Jason Kidd would like to thank the Knicks for taking Renaldo Balkman over Williams on Draft Night, saying the Nets got a lottery player at #22. Garbage time though, can make Williams feel like a UConn walk-on, so says the Sez.
