Pataki Pushing Atlantic Yards Approval Process

Outgoing New York Gov. George Pataki wants Atlantic Yards approved so badly, his administration had state employees work through the weekend to put final touches on a revised Final Environmental Impact Statement. Once the EIS is approved, then plans for the $4.2 billion project goes for final approval. The plans had to be revised because the state inadvertently failed to include public comments, mostly criticisms, of the project which is anchored by the Nets' new arena.
