Fourth Quarter Run Propels Nets to Opening Night Win

The first three quarters of Wednesday night's opener at the Meadowlands were not exactly pretty with the Nets committing 20 turnovers and the Raptors shooting 39% from the field. The Nets held a four-point lead after three, but used a 9-0 run early in the fourth to open up the game and held on from there. Jason Kidd recorded his 76th career triple-double (two short of tying Wilt Chamberlain for 3rd all-time) and Vince Carter led all scorers and rebounders with 25 and 11. Boki Nachbar carried his solid preseason over, coming off the bench for 14 points on 5-of-9 from the field. As our own stats maven Dumpy points out, the Nets dominated across the board.
