Paul Goldberger, architecture critic for the New Yorker, thinks Bruce Ratner is misusing Frank Gehry, his celebrated architect, in the design of the Atlantic Yards project. Too big he says for Gehry who is best at crafting gems set against a city background. That said, Goldberger believes the new Nets arena, holds great promise. "The arena is the best part of Gehry’s plan. Its glass-enclosed spaces bring vibrancy to the intersection of Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues."
