Ratner Opponents Lay Out Biggest Criticisms

The Council of Brooklyn Neighborhoods, a collection of civic associations, has laid out its biggest criticisms of Bruce Ratner's Atlantic Yards project. The project includes the new Nets' arena. Traffic, noise, pollution, overall density, etc. are on the list. The group also calls for the Nets to play not in central Brooklyn but Coney Island. Meanwhile, the state official who is pushing the project and is expected to okay it soon defended the plan in a WNET/Channel 13 interview.
