The Nets will take the floor in Brooklyn for the first time October 16 when they hold their annual open practice at the Brooklyn campus of Long Island University. The practice, which features Lawrence Frank directing the team in various drills, begins at 5:30 p.m. It is the first major team event in the borough where they plan to move in 2009. LIU is close to the site of the new Nets' arena and is served by 11 subway lines.
