Nets' Marketing Strategy Yields 3,000 New Season Ticket-Holders

Sports Business Journal, in its annual preview of the NBA's business, reports that CEO Brett Yormark's two-year-old marketing blitz has produced 3,000 new season ticket-holders for the team. Although the Nets' renewal rate is slightly below league levels, SBJ notes the team is running TV spots for the first time in five years to change that, part of a $1 million advertising campaign. The journal also credits Yormark with one of the NBA's five trends worth monitoring: the Ticket Influencer Party.
