Rod Thorn remembers when he interviewed Lawrence Frank for an assistant coach's job in 2000 the thing that most impressed him was Frank's attention to detail. Still does. In a New York Times feature and in two rankings of NBA coaches, Frank comes across as someone who will never be outworked. Isiah Thomas may get most of the publicity in New York media--for whatever reason. But Frank has the full backing of his owner and management, something Thomas can only dream about.
