The Nets started their road trip off in dramatic fashion as Vince Carter hit a three-pointer with one tenth of a second to go to beat the Toronto Raptors Sunday afternoon. Both teams came in playing well and it was a playoff-like atmosphere at the Air Canada Centre. Toronto led by 8 with less than two minutes to go and by 6 with less than a minute left, but Carter scored 10 points in the last 52 seconds, including the game-winning three to pull out the win. The Nets lost Richard Jefferson early with back spasms and the Raptors lost Morris Peterson to an ejection late in the first half. Neither team lead by more than nine points all game and six technical fouls were called, five on Toronto. Carter led all scorers with 42 points, adding 10 rebounds and Jason Kidd finished with 22 points, 15 assists and 6 boards. Lamond Murray was big off the bench with 12 points on 5 of 6 from the field. The Nets turned the ball over just 6 times and assisted on 30 of their 42 field goals.
