Brooklyn residents living near the site of Bruce Ratner's planned Nets arena are still protesting the project, but at the same time, many are seeing the value of their properties rise. The prospect of the half-billion dollar arena and surrounding $3 billion mini-city designed by Frank Gehry is leading to new upper-scale housing and rising prices for older housing. Among the new projects is one by another world-famous architect, Richard Meier.
