Im-Perfect Trip: Nets Lose Fourth Straight

In the first three games of this road trip, the Nets struggled offensively. On Saturday night in Seattle, it was the defense that failed them. The Sonics shot 53% from the field and 42% from beyond the arc, scoring 113 points, the most the Nets have given up since mid-November. Vince Carter played and scored 29 points, while Richard Jefferson led the Nets with a season-high 36. Seattle led by as many as 15 points in the third quarter, but it was a one-point game with five minutes to go in the fourth. The Nets just couldn't come up with any stops down the stretch though, and the Sonics slowly pulled away after that. With Philadelphia's win, the Nets' lead in the Atlantic is just 1/2 game.
