With Vince Carter still suffering from an injured back, the Nets could not get things going offensively for the second straight game, losing badly to the Clippers at Staples Center Wednesday night. Carter scored just 3 points, shooting 1 for 9 from the field, and left the game with 3 minutes to go in the third quarter. The rest of the Nets were not much better, shooting 38% from the field for the game. They hung around until midway through the third quarter when a 12-3 Clipper run built their lead up to 19. Jason Kidd led the Nets with 19 points and 6 assists. They have now lost 6 of their last 7 on the road.
