The Nets came out with purpose Saturday night at the Meadowlands, looking to avenge a frustrating loss to the Celtics on the previous night. Jason Kidd pushed the ball up the floor at every opportunity and Vince Carter was aggressive in the halfcourt. The result was an easy win and plenty of playing time for the end of the bench. The Nets got 26 points on the break, 12 of them coming in the first quarter. Carter scored 25 points on 8 of 13 shooting while Kidd finished with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Neither played the fourth quarter. Nenad Krstic scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, and Jacque Vaughn provided a lift off the bench with 13 points on 6 of 7 from the field. It was the Nets' eighth straight victory at Continental Airlines Arena.
