Jeff McInnis, signed to be the backup to Jason Kidd, tore cartilage in his left knee and will undergo knee surgery soon, Lawrence Frank announced. He is expected to miss 6 to 8 weeks. McInnis suffered the injury in the second quarter of the Nets' 110-77 loss at Dallas on Saturday. An MRI on Sunday revealed the tear. Nets will take a look at the 'D' League and CBA for a possible replacement but seem in no hurry, considering McInnis has not been in the rotation.
