At least on Friday night in Memphis, the Nets were in the game through a quarter and a half. Saturday in Dallas, the rout was on from the start, and this time, it was turnovers, not missed shots that killed the Nets. Thirteen turnovers in the first half to be exact. The Nets shot .485 from the field before halftime, but the 13 turnovers as well as deadly shooting from Keith Van Horn put them down 23 at the break. It got worse from there, with the Nets trailing by as many as 38 points and losing by 33. Jason Kidd shot 8 of 11 from the floor for 19 points, but committed 7 turnovers.
