Preliminaries Over for Euro-Nets

With one week to go before the opening of Eurobasket 2005, preliminary matches ended today with Greece beating Croatia in Cordoba, Spain, 76-62. Zoran Planinic scored 10 points. The games, which were played across Europe, turned out to be a big succcess for the three Nets' "properties". Nenad Krstic averaged 12 points per game for Serbia-Montenegro, Zoran Planinic 15 for Croatia and 2004 draft choice Christian Drejer nearly 19 for Denmark. The first two will play in Eurobasket while Drejer's Danish team will try to qualify for Eurobasket 2007.
