New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority is expected to approve Bruce Ratner's bid for the Brooklyn Atlantic rail yards as early as next Tuesday or Wednesday. That decision would clear the way for Ratner to start work on the Nets' new half-billion dollar arena and mini-city. Ratner's exclusive right to negotiate an agreement with the MTA ends Saturday.
