Igor Petrinovic, who covers the Croatian National Team for Crobasket.com, is like a number of his countrymen wowed by the improvement in the play of the Nets' Zoran Planinic. In an email to NetsDaily, here is how he describes his recent play and Croatia's prospects in the upcoming Eurobasket 2005, which begins next week.
You would not believe it, but in Spain they wonder why isn't Planinic playing more for the Nets, and they are not satisfied with the answer that he is "Kidd's backup"!!!
He [has] really improved and he should dominate in the Eurobasket, and if Croatia does well, he might become the MVP.
Lots of "ifs", but you never know!
