Drejer Scores 39 to Save Danes' Eurobasket Bid

Stung by criticism that he appeared "ridicuously disinterested" in Denmark's loss to Ireland last weekend, Christian Drejer let loose a late barrage of three's today to lead his team to an 86-70 overtime win against the Irish. The Nets' 2004 draft choice finished with 39 and Denmark needed all of them. The team had to win by more than 14 to get an invitation to play in Eurobasket 2007, its first to a European championship. [Early Irish press reports inaccurately put Drejer's total at 44.]
