In spite of the off-season melodrama that was Shareef Abdur-Rahim, team president Rod Thorn likes what he wound up with, saying that at least on offense the Nets are the deepest they've ever been. He is still worried about defense and rebounding though. Thorn also disclosed that he never consulted with any of Jeff McInnis's former bosses to assess his new point guard's mental state and that Jason Collins is still rehabbing after off-season knee surgery.
