Veteran civil rights leaders Al Sharpton and Herbert Daughtry rallied along Brooklyn's Atlantic Avenue in support of Bruce Ratner's plans for a new Nets arena on Sunday while things got ugly between advocates and opponents at a meeting of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority on Monday. The Nets also got involved, sending Darryl Dawkins and announcer Tim Capstraw to Brooklyn to run a basketball clinic for local kids. The MTA may decide as early as Wednesday who gets the rights needed to develop the Atlantic Yards.
