Knicks Take Nets On Late Surge

Hours after Ed Stefanski told WFAN listeners that he was not worried about Antoine Wright's poor shooting in the Las Vegas Summer League, Wright proved him, well, right. The former Texas A&M shooting guard poured in 23 points on 6-for-11 shooting, 17 in the first half. It was still not enough for the Nets who lost their fourth straight game on a late surge by the Knicks. The game was not such a good thing for last year's second round draft choice, Christian Drejer, who had another miserable game, diminishing his chances for a training game invitation.
