To the surprise of no one, the Nets began the pursuit of a power forward this morning as free agent hunting season opened. At the very top of the Nets' list was Portland's free agent Shareef Abdur Rahim, whose lawyer Aaron Goodwin received Rod Thorn's first phone call at one minute past midnight, and who will receive a visit from Lawrence Frank on Friday. Just behind Abdur-Rahim is Toronto's sharp shooter Donyell Marshall.
