Nets Smoke Cavs

The Nets shot 57% from the field and six players scored in double-figures as they blew out the Cavs in Cleveland Tuesday night. After a tight first quarter, the Nets used a 24-9 run at the end of the half to take an 18 point lead into the break. Cleveland cut the lead to 12 with the first 3 baskets of the 2nd half, but that was the closest they would get as Jason Kidd quickly got the lead back to 18 with 2 straight 3 pointers. The Nets made 13 of 23 attempts from beyond the arc for the game, and made only 4 trips to the free throw line. Vince Carter led all scorers with 27 points on 11 of 18 shooting, and Nenad Krstic continued his stellar play down low with 18 points. Kidd finished with 13 assists, and Brian Scalabrine added 12 points and 9 rebounds as he replaced the injured Jacque Vaughn in the starting lineup.
