Jason Kidd missed a jumper that would have won the game for the Nets, and they fell to the Orlando Magic by 1 at the Meadowlands Saturday night. The Nets led by 7 with less than 6 minutes to play, but led the lead slip away, and couldn't get the bucket they needed down the stretch. Vince Carter was in foul trouble most of the game, but Nenad Krstic had a career night with 28 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 12 of 17 from the field. In the first quarter, the Nets lost Jacque Vaughn with a broken foot.
