Vince Carter started off slowly and the Toronto fans let him know how they felt, but he turned things around and led the Nets to a huge win over the Raptors Friday night. Carter made just 1 of his first 5 shots, but then caught fire, making 7 of his next 8. He had no help early on though, and the Raptors held a 14 point halftime lead thanks to 63% shooting in the first half. The Nets started the second half on a 26-8 run to take a 4 point lead midway through the 3rd. The game was tight the rest of the way, and the Nets defense was able to stop the Raptors down the stretch to pull out an 11 point victory. Carter finished with 39 points on 15 of 26 shooting, including 17 in the critical 3rd quarter. Jason Kidd was 2 assists shy of a triple-double and Brian Scalabrine finished with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The Nets frontline was banged up, as Jason Collins, Nenad Krstic and Clifford Robinson all suffered injuries. With the win and a Cleveland loss, the Nets pulled to within 1 game of the Cavs for the 8th spot in the East.
