The Nets could not get anything going offensive Saturday afternoon, and despite a sub-par performance from Kevin Garnett, the Timberwolves won easily at the Meadowlands. Minnesota packed the lane, forcing the Nets to shoot the ball from the outside, and they weren't able to do it consistently enough to ever get the game close after the Wolves used an 11-0 run early in the second quarter to take a 13 point lead. Sam Cassell led all scorers with 23 points, shooting 10-13 from the field off the bench. Jason Kidd and Nenad Krstic both struggled, combining to shoot 5-21 from the field.
