Nets Can't Slow Grizzlies

The Nets lost their first game in 6 games Thursday night, as the Grizzlies came to the Meadowlands and shot 57% from the field to complete a sweep of the season series. The Nets were within one point midway through the 4th quarter, but then Memphis went on a 10-0 run, and held on to win by 9. The Nets committed just 6 turnovers to the Grizzlies' 16, but Nets starters shot just 37% from the field and Memphis won the rebounding battle, 40-28. The point guard combination of Jason Williams and Earl Watson combined for 30 points on 12 of 16 from the field. The Nets dropped to 2 games out of the playoffs with the loss.
