Nets Keep Climbing With Second Straight Win Over Pacers

The Nets moved to within one game (two in the loss column) of the 8th seed Sixers Tuesday night with the completion of a home-and-home sweep of the 7th place Pacers. Indiana led by 8 at the half and by 5 early in the 4th quarter when the Nets went on a 14-2 run to take the lead for good. Vince Carter led all scorers with 33 points on 13-21 shooting, scoring 11 of his 33 in the 4th. Jason Kidd added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists, and Nenad Krstic add 15 points on 6 of 8 from the field. As a team, the Nets shot 51% from the field, assisted on 24 of their 35 field goals, and committed just 11 turnovers. The have won a season-high 5 straight games, and are within 4 games of .500 for the first time since they were 2-6.
