The Nets could not hold on to an 8 point lead with just over a minute left to play in regulation Wednesday night, and fell to the Lakers in overtime. Ron Mercer and Vince Carter eached missed jumpers that would have won the game for the Nets, Mercer at the end of regulation, and Carter at the end of overtime. Jason Kidd recorded his 4th triple-double of the season, finishing with 28 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists.
