The Nets hot streak came to a screeching halt on Wednesday night in Boston, as the Celtics shot 54% from the field and cruised to a 21 point victory. Paul Pierce recorded a triple-double for Boston, and the Celtics dominated down low, outscoring the Nets 52-16 in the paint. Jason Kidd and Vince Carter combined for 47 points for the Nets, but they got nothing from their front line of Jason Collins and Nenad Krstic. Krstic had to leave the game when he was having trouble breathing. With the win, the Celtics moved into first place in the Atlantic Division, while the Nets fell to 3 games back.
