Traffic concerns continue to mount for the Nets' proposed new arena--and surrounding mini-city. At a hearing Monday, critics as well as avid proponents of Bruce Ratner's plans cited the need for changes. A traffic consultant claimed that Madison Square Garden would be a good model for the new arena. Only 40% of those attending Garden events come by car. Meanwhile, it was disclosed that Ratner has hired yet another consultant on the arena design, this one a lighting consultant to "make things happen visually".
