With the Nets-Knicks game a day away, Knicks' coach Larry Brown was already stirring the waters, subtly trying to diminish Vince Carter's 51-point performance by calling NBA refs whistle-happy and saying that for the Nets, Jason Kidd is still the man. Nevertheless, the Knicks' current savior enters the game with a 7-18 record and an unhappy, unhealthy team.
