Nets Keep It Going With Win Over Clippers

The Nets extended their winning streak to a season-high three games with a convincing victory over the Pacific Division leading Clippers at the Meadowlands Tuesday night. New Jersey took control of the game with a 16-6 run in the second quarter and Los Angeles never got to within less than 8 points after that. Vince Carter led the way with 35 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and Richard Jefferson added 20, 7 and 6. The Nets were running again, recording 29 fast break points and held Elton Brand in check during the second half (only 4 of his 21 points came after the break) to help keep the Clippers at bay. And Chris Wilcox, who the Nets have sought repeatedly, says he would like play in New Jersey.
