Led by a vintage Jason Kidd performance, the Nets played their best basketball of the season Sunday night, running past the Warriors to a 28-point victory at the Meadowlands. Kidd scored 24 points, dished out 13 assists and grabbed 9 rebounds without playing in the fourth quarter. The Nets raced out to a 15-4 lead early on, but Golden State countered with their own 15-4 run to tie the game at 19. It was all Nets after that. Kidd, Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson and Nenad Krstic combined to shoot 25-34 (74%) in the first half and New Jersey led by 27 at the break. Carter led all scorers with 25 points and Jefferson and Krstic each added 17. The Nets totalled 30 fast break points for the game and recorded 36 assists on 46 field goals.
