Nets Break Streak With OT Win Over Nuggets

In a game of runs, it was a 23-9 run spanning the last minute of regulation and the first 3 1/2 minutes of overtime that won the game for the Nets at the Meadowlands Friday night, 115-106. Jason Kidd hit a three-pointer to tie the game with 11 seconds to go in regulation and an Eduardo Najera dunk came a hair too late for Denver as the game went to overtime. There the Nets hit 8 of 9 from the field to take a commanding 9 point lead and won the game going away. Scott Padgett was huge off the bench for the Nets, hitting 5 of 5 from downtown, with all of his 15 points coming in the fourth quarter and overtime. Vince Carter led the Nets with 34 points and 12 rebounds while also dishing out 8 assists. Jason Kidd had a season-high 16 assists, adding 15 points and 7 boards. Nenad Krstic recorded his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Carmelo Anthony struggled for most of the game, but put together his own personal 9-0 run in the 4th quarter to take temporary control of the game for Denver.
