After a nine-day, five-game road trip, the Nets return to the Meadowlands where they will face the best team in the East and their often rivals in the playoffs: the Pistons. While New Jersey has struggled, Detroit has sailed through the early part of the season, going 10-2 under new coach Flip Saunders. The game is yet another chance for the Nets to measure themselves against the Eastern elite after a disappointing 2-3 road trip.
