Forest City Enterprises, the parent company of Bruce Ratner's Forest City Ratner--and itself a 15% owner of the Nets, is the subject of a weeklong series in the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. The company, which is run by three interrelated families including the Ratners, is shown as a savvy, publicly traded company who generously gives campaign funds to politicians and graciously receives subsidies from state and city governments. The series has yet to touch on FCE's ownership in the Nets.
