When Lawrence Frank took to the court to protest--in unequivocal terms--the refs' decision-making in the Heat game, he couldn't have expected to be hit with a $25,000 fine. Last year, that offense might have warranted a $10,000 fine, but that was last year, before the Basketbrawl. The commissioner's office is letting coaches and players know who's boss and some, like Richard Jefferson, think it's gotten a bit silly.
