A little more than eight minutes into their opener, the Nets were cruising with a 21-5 lead over a team that had just played overtime the night before. They were executing well on offense and forcing tough shots on the other end. Things fell apart after that. By halftime, the lead was two and by the end of the third quarter, the Bucks were up eight. The Nets lost all rhythm offensively, and could not stop Michael Redd or Maurice Williams. Redd finished with 41 points and Williams added 23 off the bench for Milwaukee. Vince Carter led the Nets with 25 points and Richard Jefferson added 18 before being ejected in the fourth quarter for an altercation with T.J. Ford and Williams.
