That's what Sports Illustrated is saying in its first player ratings of the season. SI put Richard Jefferson at the top of the chart for small forwards, beating out Lebron James. Vince Carter is ranked as the No. 5 shooting guard, behind Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce Dwyane Wade and Michael Redd. Jason Kidd did not make the top 5 at the point. Ratings are based on a compilation of statistics as well as the player's durability.
