The Nets led by as many as 16 points early in the second quarter and never trailed all night, but they could never put the Knicks away. Richard Jefferson led all scorers with 19 points. Nenad Krstic finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds, shooting 6 of 8 from the field. Vince Carter struggled offensively, shooting just 3-10 for 15 points and turning the ball over 6 times. The Nets finished the preseason with a 5-3 record.
