Fulfilling a committment he made to the Brooklyn community, Nets' Owner Bruce Ratner has selected a minority construction firm to direct the first stage of his Atlantic Yards development. McKissack & McKissack, founded by slaves, will manage a $182 million renovation of rail yards at the site. The renovation is needed before construction of a new Nets' arena and mini-city can begin.
