Anyone with a degree in finance from a great university like Tulane should have known the cost-benefit analyis was faulty. Trying out for an NBA team after being once rejected and then taking a year off from the game made little sense. But Linton Johnson III decided to hell with the odds and gave it a shot. His persistence paid off and now Johnson, nephew of former Net Mickey Johnson, has a championship ring and a shot at a place in the Nets' rotation.
