In an interview--that was published in the New York Post Friday but not carried online--Rod Thorn said Jason Collins needs some additional leg work to cure his achy knee.
"He just has some soreness. Probably to be expected," said Thorn. "He has to continue to build up his thigh to take some of the stress off his knee. You're always concerned because he's got such a great pain theshhold to begin with...We're just trying to make sure, bring him along and get him ready for when the season starts."
Thorn called Friday's MRI "precautionary".
