Nets Step Up Defense to Defeat Warriors

After two poor defensive performances earlier in the week, the Nets increased increased their intensity Friday night, holding Golden State to just 72 points on 36% shooting, and coming away with a 10 point victory. The Nets outrebounded the Warriors 50-36, and recorded 23 assists on 31 field goals. Jason Kidd finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals, and Vince Carter led all scorers with 22 points. With the win, the Nets moved back into 4th place in the Atlantic Division, just 4 games behind the idle Knicks.
