Short-handed Nets Get Gutty Win Over Lakers

With just 6 guards and 2 big men able to play, the Nets got their best win of the season in Los Angeles Friday night. They were outrebounded 55-28 (23-4 offensive), but shot 53% from the field, and had all 5 starters in double-figures. Vince Carter led the way with 30 points, including a highlight-filled 18 in the 3rd quarter. Rodney Buford finished with 18 points on 7 of 12 shooting, including two big baskets down the stretch.
