Jason Kidd and Vince Carter came just 3 rebounds and 1 assist away from being the first teammates to record triple-doubles in the same game since 1989. Neither was able to do it, but the Nets defeated the Bucks Wednesday night at the Meadowlands. Carter had his best game as a Net, finishing with 33 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists, and Kidd added 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Nets led most of the way, until Milwaukee took the lead midway through the 3rd quarter. The Nets then finished the quarter on a 10-2 run thanks to some tenacious defense, taking a 5 point lead into the 4th. Milwaukee never got closer than that.
